Spring time at VPP

Spring is in the air and we have been having so much fun outside in the beautiful sunshine and occasional downpour!  This is a special time of year at VPP.   There is a comfort and ease to our days, and we take note of the new possibilities in our gardens.  As we freshen and plant our spring gardens each year, we are reminded of last year's group of kiddos planting yummy items which were picked and enjoyed by this year's group.  Now it is their turn to plant and hand over the rewards to next year's kiddos, who will delight in picking and tasting.  Each year, each group of children is so special and it's hard to say goodbye in May.  Our gardens are a small way of holding onto precious memories.  A history and a new chapter coming together.  Maybe this is our way of easing into the inevitable close of a wonderful year.  This has been a special one, for sure!
